Pakistan’s Sapphire Textile Joins Hands with RTS Textiles for Global Growth

Sapphire Textile Mills Limited, a leading name in Pakistan’s textile industry, is taking a big step toward global expansion. The company has announced a strategic investment in RTS Textiles Group Limited, a UK-based firm known for its expertise in workwear fabrics.

In a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Tuesday, Sapphire Textile Mills confirmed that it has signed agreements to acquire a minority stake in RTS Textiles Group Limited, which is registered in England and Wales. This move marks an important milestone in Sapphire’s growth strategy as it strengthens its international footprint.

Sapphire Textile Mills Limited is strengthening its global presence with a strategic investment in RTS Textiles Group Limited, a UK-based company specializing in workwear fabrics.

According to a notice sent to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Tuesday, RTS Textiles Group is a global player in the manufacturing and sale of workwear fabrics. Sapphire Textile Mills (SAPT) stated that the acquisition will be carried out based on agreed terms and may be completed either directly or through a subsidiary. However, the deal is subject to necessary corporate and regulatory approvals.

The company expects this strategic partnership to create synergies in manufacturing, marketing, and research and development, ultimately benefiting customers and boosting Pakistan’s textile exports.

Sapphire Textile Mills is a key player in Pakistan’s textile industry and a flagship company of the Sapphire Group. Established in 1969 as a public limited company, SAPT now boasts a market capitalization exceeding Rs31.6 billion. The company operates vertically integrated textile units that produce cotton yarn, fabric, home textile products, and even power generation. It holds over 10% of the sales share in Pakistan’s listed textile composite sector.

Sapphire’s manufacturing facilities are located in both Sindh and Punjab, reinforcing its strong presence in the country’s industrial landscape.
