LAHORE – Changpeng Zhao, the founder and former CEO of Binance—the world’s largest crypto exchange—met with PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday to talk about where Pakistan is headed when it comes to digital tech and the future economy.

Zhao was recently named a strategic adviser to the Pakistan Crypto Council, and Nawaz Sharif officially welcomed him to the role. Sharif called it a big step toward making Pakistan a key player in the world of Web3 and digital finance.

Their meeting focused on how innovation and tech can drive economic growth. They talked about the importance of getting young people involved in the digital economy and helping them become leaders in areas like blockchain, fintech, and other up-and-coming technologies.

Zhao also shared his thoughts on the future of blockchain and entrepreneurship around the world, stressing how vital education and innovation are in shaping what comes next.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also attended the meeting and highlighted her government’s efforts to equip young people with high-level IT skills.
